Our Services

Here are the services that TSL offers in order to get you back and better than ever as quickly as possible!

Dry Needling

Physical therapists can reduce pain and enhance function with the use of dry needling. To help release muscle tension and trigger points, your TSL therapist inserts a small needle into the muscle. Dry needling can help reduce discomfort, increase range of motion, and strengthen muscles. Acupuncture, a type of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is not the same as dry needling. In the hands of your TSL therapist, dry needling is a complete game changer! To learn more about how you can benefit from dry needling, please contact us here at TSL Sport Therapeutics.

Functional Movement Analysis

Your TSL therapist can perform functional movement analysis as a service to you to help you perform better in particular sports or activities. This service entails evaluating a patient's movement patterns to identify any that might need special attention. Muscle imbalances brought on by improper movement patterns could possibly develop into pain and/or injury. Patients can optimize their overall movement and function and possibly avert an injury by having any underlying problems corrected. Those who desire to enhance their performance in a particular sport or activity and increase their chances of avoiding injuries or pain might benefit the most from this. To learn more about how you can benefit from Functional Movement Analysis, please contact us here at TSL Sport Therapeutics.

Selective Functional Movement Assessment

For patients that are in pain, therapists may employ the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, or SFMA, to assess a patient's movement patterns. Your TSL therapist can then relate how an aberrant movement pattern may be contributing to your pain or injury once it has been recognized. This service can assist in identifying the source of a patient's pain and the best course of treatment (Spoiler Alert: the body part that complains the most isn't usually the problem). SFMA is frequently employed to assist people with chronic pain since it can be utilized to identify the cause of the pain and create a plan of care to deal with it. To learn more about how you can benefit from this service, please contact us here at TSL Sport Therapeutics.

Cupping

Cupping is a type of therapy that has been utilized for ages by ancient societies. In order to produce suction, your TSL therapist will place cups on your skin, and the skin and underlying tissue are gently drawn up into the cup via the suction. The cups may be moved around the designated area or kept in position for up to a few minutes. By increasing blood flow and relaxing tight muscles, cupping is used to prepare the body for therapeutic exercise, additional manual therapy or to improve recovery. Although it is frequently used to treat pain, it can also be used to treat other problems like migraine headaches, exhaustion, and anxiety. To learn more about how cupping may help your condition, please contact us here at TSL Sport Therapeutics.

Blood Flow Restriction

BFR training is frequently used with clients at TSL Sport Therapeutics who want to get stronger and heal quickly. BFR can be utilized as a stand-alone modality or in conjunction with conventional resistive exercise routines. There is evidence to suggest that blood flow restriction (BFR) training can be a highly effective strategy for enhancing muscle strength and growth as well as increasing tissue regeneration and recovery after injury. The advantages of BFR training have been extensively studied in recent years. A favorable environment for muscle growth and repair is created by BFR via the occlusion (restriction) of blood flow to the active and adjacent muscles. To learn if BFR is right for you, please contact us here at TSL Sport Therapeutics.
